Why?
Hertta Club is a recently formed non proftable organisation (NBO) and registered skating club located in Helsinki, with its area of operation covering all of Finland. Hertta Club is not a traditional skating club, but a club that aims to provide extended opportunities for figure skaters by bringing a more international and individualized coaching approach to the Scandinavian skating scene.
At its core, Hertta Club serves as an intermediary in ice reservations for private coaches and figure skaters seeking individualized coaching by providing ice training opportunities in the Helsinki metropolitan area and camps all of Finland.
At Hertta, we combine the best aspects of international skating systems in order to support skaters striving for competitive goals. In Scandinavia, figure skating coaching is mainly based on group training, which naturally cannot fully meet the individual needs of every skater. However, given the young age at which skaters are expected to develop in figure skating, training should respond to the individual needs of each athlete from an early stage. Every child and young athlete is different, with their own strengths as well as personal challenges that must be taken into account when planning and structuring a training system.
Therefore, Hertta Club aims to support both skaters and coaches as well as support other figureskating clubs on a broad scale through cooperation by providing athletes with opportunities to develop toward a competitive level and achieve their individual goals and dreams.
